My Friday Favorites!

1// Clear Clutch/Bag 2// Joanna Gaines' Cookbook Magnolia Table (Pre-order) 3// Dolce Vita Lace-Up Sandal 4// Opalhouse Floor Pillow 5// Sole Society Ruffle Clutch 6// Steven Greece Slides
7// Opalhouse Taco Holder

What the what?! Yes, a blog post! I can't hardly believe it either. Let me just give y'all a quick update...last fall I got a new job, yes it has been amazing and I'm loving it, BUT I work from home full-time now and busier than ever. That's a whole other blog post but all this to say is the LAST thing I want to do is come back into my office and sit at the computer in the evenings. Hence why things are radio static from me around here this year. I truly miss blogging and I want to have more time for it but until I find that balance I'm just poppin' in to share some of my favorites right now!

ONE: this clear zip clutch/pouch is so good for travel especially! I picked one up after gifting one to a friend and finding out how much she enjoyed it. I've been using it to help keep things organized in my large carry-on tote while I travel. It also comes in a slimmer version that would also be just as handy.

TWO: I AM SO EXCITED for this cookbook!! If you know me well you know I'm a BIG fan of Joanna Gaines so her cookbook, Magnolia Table, has been on my list to grab for quite some time now. Right now it is just out for pre-order but it will be released to shelves this coming Tuesday! My sister in law pre-ordered it for me for my birthday so I can't wait to get it. First up, I plan on making her biscuits!

THREE: How cute are these lace-up bow slides from Dolce Vita? They come in several different colors and I'm swooning over all of them! I think they are a perfect sandal to transition into spring.

FOUR: Y'all, have you checked out Target's new line, OpalHouse, yet? I'm loving it as it has that Anthropologie look but at a fraction of the price. This huge floor pillow comes in several colors at a great price...now to just find the need for it and space for it in my house....

FIVE: Because if you put ruffles in front of me, I buy them. How stinking adorable is this ruffle clutch? Comes in three colors and could easily be dressed down or up.

SIX: Man, how cute are these slides? They also come in several colors are all the rage this season, I see them everywhere! I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out but I currently have about fifteen pairs of sandals on my wish list so I'm trying to cut that down a bit, eek.

SEVEN: Another favorite that I picked up from Target's OpalHouse collection, these taco holders. They're at such a great price point and SO cute that I couldn't help grabbing them this week for taco night. How fun would they be for celebrating Cinco De Mayo too?!

Ok ladies and gents, that is all from me today. YAY, we made it to Friday and I'm so excited to do a lot of relaxing this weekend! Have a good one, y'all!

Friday Favorites: Five Awesome Target Finds!

Who doesn't love Target?! I mean I think everyone does so I thought I'd round up five awesome items I've found at Target recently!

ONE: Dupe Bow Slide Sandals

These Sam & Libby Bow Sandals are a great dupe for the Sam Edelman Henna Bow Slide. The Target slides are a fourth the price and come in several colors that the Sam Edelman version also comes in. Great dupe find!

TWO:  Welcome Cactus Doormat {On Sale!}

Oh my word, how cute is this mat?! I spotted it at one of my local Target stores but they only had one left and it was messed up. Logged on to the website to find it on sale for $10 online! Score, this baby is on the way to my home! It is going to just look too adorable on my back patio!

THREE: Straw Tassel Beach Tote

Sold out online - Similar Tote

Unfortunately this one is already sold out online but I have spotted it in stores. I did link a similar pom pom version online but if you are obsessed with the one above like me and many others keep an eye out at your local store. It is $34.99.

FOUR: Family Cactus Swimsuits

I might be a little all the heart eye emojis for anything cactus again this summer but seriously?! How cute are these little tot cacti suits and even one for their daddy! Find all the suits here with a few different variations. So cute and of course so cheap!

FIVE: Sugarfix by BaubleBar Drop Earrings

Because how could I not include the Sugarfix line. Baublebar kills it at Target and I'm completely swooning over these stripe drop ball earrings for a fraction of the cost of Baublebar's line of drop earrings.

Now tell me what you have found at Target lately! I'm a firm believer that a good Target trip is good for the soul. I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Loving Others at Target

This is not my normal post but it is something that has been on my mind lately. We've all seen the controversy lately with Target as they have now changed their bathroom policies in store on April 19th to allow transgenders to use the bathroom of their choice. Most have a strong opinion one way or the other, some so strong they are boycotting the store and others spending even more time at Target. This post is not to make anyone mad, irritated or to influence others to think my opinion is the right way to think...it is just simply my thoughts on the whole scandal.

I have seen more news articles, public posts, Facebook posts, etc on this topic than I care to read. I know, I know and here I am sharing another post but I just couldn't not share my thoughts. Take it for what it is and agree to disagree if you will but here it is.
Things I just don't understand, not only as an individual but as a Christian, in the way the mainstream world is reacting to the new policy. People are up in arms about how dangerous and "wrong" this policy is. I realize I am not a mom, and in no way do I pretend to know how it feels to be a mom, but why are parents so upset by this? Aren't transgenders everywhere? Do we boycott parks, restaurants, airports, post offices, grocery stores and so on? Because all of those places transgenders are there and could be right next to your child or yourself. Yes, I understand that the bathroom is a little more private and what if your child sees a body part that they are not used to seeing? However, it is just as likely to happen at parks and playgrounds. Protect your child in Target just as you would at any other public place. Go to the bathroom with your child or send in a friend or sibling if you can't go in. If you are really uncomfortable use the family restroom. This allows you to all go in as a family with a lock on the door. This is a great option!

Now, with that being said. Why is it our place to judge transgenders? I am a christian and a believer and I can't help to think how many 'non-transgenders' have hurt many children. People in churches, not Target! If someone is a pedophile or a pervert do you think they care about Target's new policy? No. Those people do not care about their surroundings or store policies they will find a way to get to unattended children, as sad as that is. Who are we to jump to conclusion just because a man became a 'woman'? Aren't we to love everyone as Christ did us? Shouldn't we make those feel belonged and loved as Jesus did for us? ANYONE can hurt children, lets not be quick to judge those of different change.

As far as the boycotting...I get it, I really do. Standing up for your rights, but is it really our rights? A privately owned company with a new policy set in place. All we are doing as Christians is showing hate and the right of ours to fight publicly. If you choose to not support Target then that is fine and to each their own but publicly smashing it in transgenders faces is not the right way in going about it. And remember, those of you boycotting...this counts online shopping at Target too. They don't care how they get your money...just remember that this leaves you shopping at Walmart. This only leaves me more adorable items in the dollar spot, can't resist marked clearance items and all the too cute for words shoes, sundresses, pineapple candles, jewelry. If you are really wanting to fight back against the ban of accepting transgenders then you'll also need to get off your iPhone and Facebook as they both support. Along with a huge list of other companies that are bound to support something we don't agree with. Maybe it is time we love instead of shamming. That is all.

Target's Beauty Box

What girl doesn't love fun beauty products coming to her door?! Even better cheap and fun products! Every once in awhile Target puts out a Beauty Box for only five dollars, yes FIVE dollars! I recently received my box of goodies and could not be more pleased.

When you order your Beauty Box it is a little different than many other subscription boxes out there right now. It is not a subscription and it is first come first serve. So, once you spot one available snatch it up ladies! What I really love about the Target Beauty Box is you get to see what you will be receiving in your box before you put in your order. Even though I do love surprises I love even more knowing I'm not wasting my money on items I wont like or use...yes, I'm cheap.

I'm mildly obsessed with NXY's butter gloss so once I spotted the gloss in the box I was sold. I mean how could I not be? The butter gloss retails for $4.99 so of course that alone pays for the entire box. Everything else included was just a bonus for me, but I do love it all!

My Beauty Box contained:  Bathery delicate loofa // John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7-Day Treatment // Olay White Strawberry Body Wash // NYX Butter Glass Strawberry Parfait // Goody Ouchless Elastics // CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Primer & Burt's Bees White Tea Facial Wipes

I really do love all the products that were sent but I'm extra pleased with the value of the box. All products retail for a total of just over $40.00 and again I paid five dollars! With free shipping because I have the Target Red Card! Score!!

The CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Primer has proven to be a winner when I'm now wiping off my makeup before my workout after work. This says a lot when it is one hundred plus degrees here in Oklahoma so I'm still not sweating off all my makeup while using this primer. I also threw the Burt's Bee Facial Cleansing Towelettes in my gym bag and they have been a great help between work and the gym.

BUT of course, my favorite from the box which is a given is still the  NYX Butter Gloss. It stays on, isn't waxy and provides nice coverage. It is easily compared to a department store brand. It has been my lip color almost everyday since the box arrived. Thanks Target, I will be ordering the Beauty Box again next month! Ladies, be on the lookout for the fall must haves Beauty Box coming in September!

This post was not sponsored by Target, I just have a mad love for both Target and their Beauty Box...but how awesome would that be? Target I'm open to a sponsorship!
