Slow Cooked Carnitas Street Tacos
Adapted From Cats to Cooking

Ingredients

•    21/2 lbs pork shoulder
•    1 tbsp lime juice
•    2 tsp salt
•    2 tsp ground cumin
•    1 tsp chili powder
•    1 tsp garlic powder
•    1 tsp oregano
•    1 tsp onion powder
•    1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Cut pork shoulder into large 3-4 inch chunks, removing any fat.

2. Place pork in slow cooker.

3. Combine all other ingredients in slow cooker.

4. Stir to mix thoroughly.

5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or until very tender.

6. When tender, pull apart with a fork.

7. Serve on warm corn tortillas and top with red onion, cilantro and lime juice. I also added avocado to a couple of mine as well as salsa verde.

Kyle and I LOVE street tacos and if we aren't on the streets in Mexico at the authentic taco stands like we'd prefer then we improvise. These were some of the best that I've made at home and so simple and easy! The meat also warms up nicely for leftovers. Enjoy!
